OMODA & JAECOO have set a remarkable milestone, achieving over 600,000 global sales in just 27 months. This accomplishment marks them as the fastest-emerging automotive brand to reach this landmark. In South Africa, the brand achieved a notable milestone in June, selling over 1,000 units, driven by strong demand for popular models like the C5, J7, and the latest plug-in hybrid offerings.

Globally, New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) now constitute over half of the brand’s total sales, with the J7 SHS spearheading hybrid sales across multiple international markets. In June alone, NEVs accounted for 51% of OMODA & JAECOO’s total sales, underscoring the brand’s robust performance in the electrified automotive sector.

Earlier this year, the Chery Group, parent company of OMODA & JAECOO, made significant strides by climbing to 233rd place on the Fortune Global 500 list, a leap of 152 spots compared to 2024. The group reported an impressive revenue of USD 59.7 billion, making it the fastest-rising automotive company of the year. Additionally, Chery has become the first Chinese automotive brand to surpass five million cumulative exports, highlighting its growing international impact.

In South Africa, OMODA & JAECOO vehicles have gained a loyal following, thanks to their blend of luxury features, exceptional value, and comprehensive safety systems. NEV sales have grown by an astounding 460% year-over-year, with the J7 SHS consistently selling over 10,000 units per month for several consecutive months. In June alone, global sales of the J7 SHS reached 10,149 units, solidifying its position as a leader in the hybrid vehicle market.

The J7 SHS has emerged as a bestseller in hybrid markets across countries like Poland, the UK, Spain, Italy, and Malaysia. This model has been a key driver of the brand’s growth in the NEV sector, establishing OMODA & JAECOO as a competitive force in the global automotive landscape.

Expanding Global Footprint

Since its inception, OMODA & JAECOO has expanded into 44 countries, including key regions such as Europe, Australia, Central and South America, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific. This rapid growth has positioned the brand as a rising star in the global automotive industry. Plans for the second half of 2025 include further expansion into markets such as Denmark, Croatia, Germany, and France, ensuring a continued increase in global market presence.
